This is an unofficial, fan-made FAQ reference tool created independently for educational purposes. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Bandai Co., Ltd., Toei Animation Co., Ltd., or Shueisha Inc.

1. Overview

The Empty Throne is a small, self-hosted, non-commercial platform. This policy explains what data is collected when you use the Platform, how it is stored, and how it is used. We do not sell, share, or monetize any user data.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information required to operate the Platform:

  • Username — chosen by you at registration, used to identify your account
  • PIN (hashed) — your access credential, stored as a one-way hash; the original PIN is never retained
  • Progress — which FAQ entries you have reviewed and whether your answers were correct or incorrect
  • Favorites — questions you have saved for further review
  • Account timestamps — date of account creation and most recent login

We do not collect email addresses, real names, IP addresses (beyond transient rate-limiting), or any payment information.

3. How Your Data Is Used

All collected data is used solely to provide the Platform's features:

  • Authenticating your login session
  • Displaying and persisting your progress across sessions
  • Saving and retrieving your favorited questions
  • Allowing administrators to manage accounts and reset PINs

4. Data Storage

All data is stored locally on the server hosting this Platform in JSON-based files. No data is transmitted to third-party analytics, advertising, or cloud services. Card image data is loaded from the public One Piece Card Game API.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. Administrators can delete any account along with all associated progress and favorites data at any time. If you would like your account and data removed, contact the Platform administrator.

6. Cookies and Sessions

The Platform uses a single server-side session cookie to maintain your logged-in state. This cookie contains no personally identifiable information beyond an encrypted session identifier. It expires when you log out or your session ends.

7. Administrator Access

Platform administrators can view usernames, account timestamps, and aggregate usage statistics. Administrators cannot view your PIN. Administrators may reset PINs upon request.

8. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated at any time. Continued use of the Platform following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
